Book Summary

From the New York Times Bestselling Author of the Connections series comes an exciting and passionate new romance....

Janis Joplin. Kurt Cobain. Amy Winehouse. Zachary Flowers. I always knew my brilliant brother would one day be listed among the great artistic minds of our time. I just didn't know he would join the list of exceptional talents who left us too young, too soon.

I was always the calm one, the perfect foil to his freewheeling wild spirit. But since his death shortly after his 27th birthday, I'd found myself adrift and directionless.

I knew it was time to face my destiny, and I was ready to yield. But then I met Nate, Zachary's best friend. Only he could help me put the pieces together, fill in the blanks that Zachary left behind. I needed him to answer my questions--and I wanted him for more. He awakened in me a sensuality that had never been explored, never satisfied. Nate's presence controlled me, his touch seared me, and it was up to me to convince him that he was brought into my life for a reason....

NO CLIFFHANGER ENDING.  THIS IS A STANDALONE ROMANCE.

Book Blitz Ropes and Revenge by Jessie Evans

Ropes and Revenge by Jessie Evans
(Lonesome Point, Texas #6)
Publication date: April 14th 2015
Genres: Adult, Suspense

Synopsis:
Eight months ago, John Lawson lost his wife and best friend in a tragic accident on his family’s ranch. In the time since, he’s devoted himself to two things—taking care of his two newly motherless sons and proving that Lily’s accident was no accident. Now, he finally has hard evidence that his wife was murdered and he won’t rest until he has the killer’s blood on his hands. He doesn’t have time for anything but vengeance, especially not a crazy ghost hunter wanting to poke around the old spring on his family’s ranch.
Persephone Styles—Percy to her friends—learned about ghosts the hard way, when she was orphaned by a violent crime at the age of seven. Ever since, she’s seen spirits and been obsessed with studying souls beyond the grave. She’s in Lonesome Point to document the town’s spectral activity, but finds herself powerfully drawn to widower John Lawson and empathizing with his grieving children. For the first time in years, Percy is as riveted by the living as she’s always been by the dead and longs to be a part of John’s life.
But when one night of passion becomes something more, Percy realizes John is as haunted as she is and that the man she’s coming to love is walking a dangerous road that may end with him becoming a murderer’s next victim.

Q AND A INTERVIEW

Tell us something about yourself, both as a writer and as a person.

As a writer I am dedicated, reliable, passionate, and determined to tell the best story I can possibly tell. As a person I am loyal, silly, and always looking for a reason to laugh.

When did you realize you wanted to become a writer?

I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was little. Playing pretend for a living seemed like the most wonderful thing ever.

How did you come up with the idea and how did you create the characters?

Honestly, I have no idea! My brain is a mystery to me. Stuff just pops up. These people come to life on the page and then I go back and flesh them out with more specific characteristics during my second and third drafts. Now that I’ve finished the series, however, the town is populated by people that feel real to me. I talk to my husband about them all the time and he thinks I’m crazy, lol.

If you should describe your books in three words, what would you pick?

Fast-paced, entertaining, written-from-a-loving-place

What else do you enjoy doing, when you’re not writing?

Playing with my family, surfing, and working on getting my fixer-upper house fixed up ( a never ending battle).

Where can readers find you?

Everywhere! Lol. Hope to see you all around the web.

Fools Rush Dream Cast

Oh, I love to picture actors in my head as I’m writing my stories. I know some day they’ll bring my books to life on the big screen, right? J
When I was writing Fools Rush, I actually didn’t have a certain actor in mind. I knew Jason Akles would do him justice, but it wasn’t exactly him, but I saw Thomas Nolan clearly in my head. It wasn’t until we did casting for the movie that I met him. ;)
First, let’s look at Thomas Nolan. He’s a tough, yet damaged guy who needs some lovin’. He’s gotta be built well, but not over the top body-builder frame. Most of all, he needs that cowboy swagger, charming smile, and eyes that’d melt a woman’s resolve.
There was a long line outside casting, but since Jensen Akles didn’t show for the audition, we had to choose another leading man. The minute this young man said his name, I knew it had to be him.
Meet our readers’ choice for Thomas Nolan.
Scott Eastwood!

Next up, Bethany Cook. She’s a woman any man would sell their only horse to marry. A beauty, full lips, well-proportioned, soft voice, but a fire inside her that keeps men guessing. No woman of her time compares to Bethany’s will to be her own person. She’ll yield to no man.
There was so much drama during casting. I knew Angelina Jolie wanted the part, but we couldn’t hold production for her to finish her twelve other projects. I knew I wanted a fresh, young woman who possessed that mysterious mixture of innocence and sensuality.

The actress cast in the role of Bethany Cook is: Liz Solari.

What do you think of our leading couple? I think they’ll make magic on the big screen together. I tried to play the part of Bethany, but the casting director said I was too old. Ugh, when did that happen?
I hope you enjoy Fools Rush!
