Taming Mr. Flirt

Here’s a tip: never say never.
It all started in a barn, rolling around in the hay with a hot brunette. When I hooked up at my best friend’s wedding with the bride’s best friend, I had hay in places it should never be. And how my bowtie ended up around my dick was an entirely different story. I’ll give you a minute to consider the possibilities.
That first romp set the tone, and each sexual encounter with her that followed became more intense. The fact that all my fantastic orgasms were coming at the hand of one woman baffled me.
A lifetime of observation taught me that monogamy equated to boredom. Variety was the spice of life, in and out of the bedroom. I enjoyed the company of a sexy, smart, confident woman. It was my kryptonite. I was a master flirt, and my sexual skills were unrivaled.
Until her.
With this woman, I had met my match.
Her carnal appetite a perfect match for mine, and she also taught me a few things along the way.
She called me Mr. Flirt, and could bring me to my knees at every turn.
Lesson learned: Sex always trumps sanity.

Scoring Mr. Romeo

Here’s a tip: never underestimate romance.
Falling in love was the furthest thing from my mind. I’m a single mother raising a strong little boy, and he is my one and only priority.
The universe felt otherwise, sending me—actually, my son’s soccer ball—hurdling toward a stunningly handsome, perfect man, who said all the right things. He made it hard to ignore how much I missed romance.
In the past, when I met a man, they ran as soon as they heard I was a widow with a child. Not this guy. No, he fell in love with my son, and in turn my son fell in love with him. But, it was hard to believe he felt the same about me. My job was to be the strong one—to protect our hearts from sweet dreams that never lasted.
~~~
Women told me I was a master of romance. They were right. I knew how to sweep a woman off her feet, to make her feel special, and good in all the right places. I wasn’t a saint. I’ve had my share of one-night stands. They served their purpose, giving me a steady diet of romance without the hassle of commitment.
Then one day at the park, a soccer ball came careening toward my head, and my life changed in an instant. I never imagined that true love would come in the form of a five-year-old little boy. And then I got to know his mother: She was strong, independent, drop-dead gorgeous, and someone I desired - I just needed to prove it to her.
She called me Mr. Romeo, and that was fine with me.
Lesson learned: Love always trumps everything.
I've got fame and fortune in spades - and I don't mind using them to get what I want: HER. Little Miss Thing has no idea the WILD RIDE I've got planned for her. I'm kind of a big deal. As in, everyone on the planet knows who I am, and they have since I was fifteen. You'd think that doing whatever I want, not to mention the constant stream of women, would be pretty fun. And they were. For a while. But now I've seen it all - and it's enough to make a man pretty jaded. When there's a human stampede outside my concert, I jump out of my car to help. That's before I see the girl who nearly got trampled - the tiny, young, adorable superfan. So I invite her backstage... and before I know it, I'm inviting her to Vegas for a night of hard partying -- and hopefully more. She's even more innocent than she looks, and I end up taking a cold shower. The last thing I expect is for her to sneak out the morning after. No matter what I do, I can't get this girl out of my head -- her smart mouth, her huge blue eyes, and those crazy curves of hers are my own personal kryptonite. The fact that she doesn't fawn all over me just adds fuel to my fire. I'll do anything it takes to win her - even pull out the old-school romance. Jewelry? Check. Roller coaster ride at 4am? Check. Following her across the country like a Goddamn puppy dog? Check. This girl is gonna be MINE. This book was previously released under Dare Me. It has been extensively rewritten and expanded. It's a light and sweet story with a guaranteed HEA and not even a hint of you-know-what! Enjoy! Xoxox, Joanna
Sweet Jesus. What had he gotten himself into? Kendall was sitting in the boutique, watching Jessica try on clothes. It had been his idea. Now he was paying the price. His pants felt tight all the sudden. Very tight. He pretty much felt like his jeans were a sausage casing and he’d been overstuffed. Jessica was standing awkwardly in another dress he'd picked out for her. She looked gorgeous but extremely aware of how exposed she was. This one was, um, very revealing. She didn't look trashy though. She looked fucking beautiful. And very, very self conscious. She was trying in vain to pull the bottom of the mini skirt down to cover her thighs. Her sweet, firm, silky looking thighs. He wanted to tell her that she shouldn’t hide. She should show herself off. But he didn’t want her to do that exactly either. Not unless they were alone. And naked. Very, very naked. God, she had great legs. Strong and shapely but utterly feminine. The dress fluttered around her hips and hugged her tiny waist, all the way up to the plunging neckline. She was trying to pull that up too. She looked ridiculous, trying to make the fabric do things it didn't want to do. And he was grateful to the fabric, even if it was creating a situation in his pants. His mouth dried up when he looked at that neckline. It was - oh god - her glorious breasts were finally on display. They were perfectly round and looked delightfully bouncy. Jessica kept saying she wasn't a toy, but she looked like endless hours of fun to him. He groaned, crossing his legs. He was getting a hard on in the lobby of the hotel! He was going to have to stop playing around and get this girl into bed, no matter what it took. The sooner the better. Otherwise he was going to go insane. Blue balls level insane. She wobbled a bit in the heels he'd picked out for her. She stared at him, pulling a face. He couldn't help but laugh. He'd never laughed so much in his life as he had in the past few hours with her. It was a strange sensation, laughing while his dick tried to tear its way out of his pants. It had a mind of its own. And it was hungry. "Another no?" She shook her head miserably. "Go and pick something out then. Just-" "I know, I know. Don't look at the price tag." He smirked as she kicked off her heels and disappeared into the racks. In a few minutes she was back, holding up a simple dress and a pair of high heeled ankle boots. She slipped into the dressing room and he closed his eyes, focusing on calming down his raging hard on. Think about nuns. Kittens. Puppies. Nuns holding kittens and puppies. A fireman rescuing the Nun while she clutched the kittens and puppies. The fireman was kissing the Nun and lifting up her skirt. The Nun looked like Jessica. He was the fireman. The fireman disappeared under the shapeless black habit as he knelt in front of her and dove between her thighs. "Getting sleepy?" He snapped his eyes open. "No- not at all, I'm just- oh wow." She spun for him, wearing a more modest, but equally stunning, above the knee length dress. It was black silk with a sweetheart neckline. It swirled out gracefully when she spun. The booties she’d picked out were about 4 inches high with a little platform built in. She looked incredible, and much more comfortable in the ensemble. He'd thought her cute before. It was a gross understatement. She was fucking gorgeous. "Too much?" "Uh- no. It's perfect. You look- yeah. Perfect." She cocked her head to the side. "Thanks. I think." He rolled his eyes and stood. "Do you want something else? Another outfit for tomorrow? Get whatever you want. Seriously." "No, this is kind of a one time deal. Thanks though." He frowned, wondering what she meant. He handed the sales woman the card and she swiped it. "There's still ten thousand on your balance." "Okay. I'm getting you a bag, Jess.” She shrugged self consciously. "Okay." "That one." There was a crystal studded evening bag that caught his eye. Then he noticed the jewelry. "And…" He pointed to a necklace in the case. It was a ruby heart pendant set in platinum. Simple but very dramatic. "We'll take that." She nodded and pulled it out, swiping the card again. He waited until Jessica was done pulling the price tags off her clothes and shoving her things into the tiny purse. "What do I do with this stuff?" "Can you send her clothes and bag to the suite?" “Of course, Mr. Jackson.” The sales girl nodded. He held up the necklace. "Do you like it?" “It’s beautiful but I can’t-” “Hush now, I want you to have it.” He grinned. “You are lucky I didn’t try and buy the matching earrings.” Jessica stared at him, dumbfounded. He lifted the necklace over her head and fastened it. "There. Now you're ready." She blinked up at him, clearly not sure what to make of this latest extravagance. "Don't say it's too much! We're in Vegas, remember?" She bit her lip. “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?” “Exactly.” He grinned and grabbed her hand. "Come on, let's go."
Sneak Peak Reveal - BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE by @ViKeeland
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done. Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant. Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy. Oops. My mistake. Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning. Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West. This was going to be interesting… ADD TO GOODREADS
      An excerpt from Beautiful Mistake…   The class was completely empty. I wasn’t even sure he knew I was still in my seat. If he did, he was good at ignoring me as he packed up his laptop. “Contrary to the rumors you’ve probably heard, I don’t bite.” I jumped when he spoke. Now that the lecture hall was no longer filled with students, the acoustics of the large space bounced his deep voice all over the walls. I stood and began my walk of shame down to the front of the classroom. There was no doubt I owed the man an apology, even if he wasn’t a professor—a professor who would be my new boss for at least the next fifteen weeks. I wanted to kick myself in the ass for not apologizing last night before I left the bar. Now it would seem like I was only doing it because of the situation I was in. Which was true, don’t get me wrong, but I didn’t want it to seem that way. I took a deep breath. “I’m so sorry about last night.” His face was unreadable. “I figured you might be, right about now.” “I obviously thought you were someone else.” “So I assumed. You thought I was the asshole. The one with the big dick, was it?” I shut my eyes. For the last ninety minutes, I’d replayed the entire exchange from last night over and over in my head. I thought I’d remembered everything I said, but apparently I hadn’t. When I reopened my eyes, Professor West was still watching me. His stare was pretty damn intense. I started to babble. “My friend Ava went out with this guy Owen for a month or so. He was full of shit from day one, but she didn’t see it. Actually walked up to her when she was leaving work one night and said, ‘Do you mind if I walk you home? My mother always told me to follow my dreams.’ She fell for it, the entire act, from the first day. Then one Saturday, he was supposedly out of town on business, and she was across town running errands for her mother. She took a shortcut through Madison Square Park on her way back from the grocery store and ran into him. He was with his wife and kids.” “And you thought I was him, apparently?” I nodded. “She came in during my shift and started drinking Long Island iced teas. When Owen walked in, she pointed to where he was standing and said he was the one in the blue shirt.” “And we were both wearing blue shirts, I take it?” I couldn’t help but smile, thinking of Ava last night. “Actually, no. Ava’s not much of a drinker. Turned out she was more sloshed than I thought. Owen’s shirt was brown—not even black that could be mistaken as navy or something.” I saw Professor West’s lip twitch. “Anyway, I’m really sorry. I barely gave you a chance to speak, and then when I realized what had happened, I was so mortified I didn’t even stop to apologize.” “I accept your apology for last night. Even though you shouldn’t be approaching a man in the hallway to tell him off alone, your intentions were admirable.” I should have shut up and been grateful he’d accepted my apology. Should have. “Why can’t I approach a man in the hallway?” He leveled me with a stare. “Because you’re five foot nothing in a loud bar, and no one would have heard you if I’d dragged you into the men’s room and locked the door.” I folded my arms over my chest. “I can take care of myself.” “I didn’t say you couldn’t. I said you shouldn’t put yourself in those situations.” “But you insinuated that I couldn’t by making that statement.” He zipped his leather bag closed. “Ms. Martin, I just accepted your apology for calling me an asshole last night. Would you like me to retract that acceptance?” God, I really was an idiot. Being around this man seemed to turn me into a psychopath. “No. I’m sorry. I acted like a jerk, and I’d like to start over, if that’s possible.” He nodded. “Everything prior to this morning is forgotten.” “Thank you.” “But this morning is not. I won’t accept lateness. Don’t let it happen again.” I swallowed. “It won’t.” He lifted his worn, brown leather laptop bag over one shoulder. “Meet me here at five tomorrow. We’ll go over the syllabus and the classes you’ll teach, as well as my grading rubric.” That was smack in the middle of my shift, but I’d figure something out. “Okay.” “Are you done for the day?” “I am. I actually have to get to work. I’m covering Ava’s shift because she isn’t feeling too well after last night. We both work at O’Leary’s.” “You waitress there?” “Waitress, bartend, occasionally tell off patrons.” That earned me a full smile from Professor West. God, he should do that more often. No, forget that. He definitely shouldn’t. “I’ll walk out with you.” We walked through the halls together and out to the parking lot. When we arrived at my car, I stopped. “This is me. So…five o’clock tomorrow?” Professor West looked at my beat-up old Subaru. “You’re parked in a spot reserved for the Provost. You got a parking ticket.” He squinted. “Actually, it looks like you have two parking tickets. Was your inspection expired or something?” Crap. “Umm…no. I keep an extra ticket in the glove compartment and stick it on my windshield when I’m forced to park illegally.” His brows shot up. “Inventive.” “Obviously it doesn’t always work.” “Obviously.” “They need more parking. When you’re late, it’s impossible to find a spot.” He studied me. “Lateness is a frequent occurrence for you, I take it?” “Unfortunately, it is.” “Then I should clarify something I said earlier.” “Oh, no, that’s not necessary. I won’t be late for your class.” He took a step closer and leaned in. “I’m glad to hear that, Ms. Martin. But that’s not what needs clarification.” I swallowed. God, he smells good. “Earlier I told you I didn’t bite students.” He smiled, and I felt the wickedness from it shoot down to some interesting places. “I don’t. But I make no promises about not biting feisty TAs.”
